Hello, my name is Angie DenBeste, and I am a Certified Massage Therapist (72686) dedicated to supporting wellness, healing, and whole-body balance through therapeutic bodywork. With over 11 years of training and education I have developed a diverse skill set in massage therapy and holistic healing techniques designed to meet each client’s individual needs. My approach combines therapeutic care with compassion, intuition, and attention to the body’s natural ability to heal. My goal is to create a safe, supportive, and relaxing environment where clients can reduce stress, restore balance, and reconnect with their overall well-being.
I practice within the scope of a Certified Massage Therapist in the state of California. All new clients are required to complete a health history form and intake paperwork prior to their first appointment to ensure safe, personalized, and effective care.
Below is a brief list of modalities I am trained in a brief description.
SomatoEmotional Release is a gentle, therapeutic approach that helps the body release stored tension, stress, and emotional patterns that may be held within the tissues. Using light touch and mindful awareness, this technique supports the connection between the body and emotions, encouraging deep relaxation, nervous system balance, and emotional well-being. Sessions may help uncover and release long-held patterns related to stress, trauma, or physical discomfort, allowing the body to return to a greater sense of ease, balance, and inner calm.
Craniosacral Therapy is a gentle hands-on therapy that works with the body’s craniosacral system, including the membranes and fluid surrounding the brain and spinal cord. Using light touch, this therapy helps release restrictions within the body, calm the nervous system, and support the body’s natural healing processes. Craniosacral therapy may help reduce stress, headaches, jaw tension, chronic pain, fatigue, and overall tension while promoting deep relaxation, balance, and a sense of well-being.
Craniosacral mouth work is a gentle, specialized technique performed inside the mouth to help release tension and restrictions in the jaw, face, mouth, and surrounding tissues. Using gloved hands and light touch, this therapy works with the muscles and connective tissues related to the jaw joint (TMJ), palate, throat, and cranial structures. Mouth work can help relieve jaw tension, TMJ discomfort, headaches, teeth grinding, facial pain, and stress held in the mouth and face. This deeply therapeutic approach supports nervous system balance, relaxation, and improved ease throughout the head, neck, and body.
Trigger point therapy is a focused bodywork technique designed to relieve tight muscle knots, tenderness, and referred pain patterns throughout the body. Trigger points are areas of muscle tension that can cause discomfort both locally and in other areas. Using sustained pressure, compression, and targeted techniques, this therapy helps release muscle restrictions, improve circulation, reduce pain, and restore mobility. Trigger point therapy can be especially helpful for chronic tension, headaches, neck and shoulder pain, back pain, and repetitive stress patterns.
Acupressure massage is a therapeutic technique rooted in Traditional Chinese Medicine that uses gentle to firm pressure on specific points throughout the body to encourage balance and natural healing. By stimulating these acupressure points, the body’s energy flow, or “Qi,” is supported to help reduce stress, relieve tension, improve circulation, and promote relaxation. Acupressure massage can help ease headaches, muscle tension, fatigue, emotional stress, and overall discomfort while creating a calming and restorative experience.
Cupping therapy is an ancient healing technique that uses specialized cups to create gentle suction on the skin and underlying tissues. The suction helps increase circulation, release muscle tension, support lymphatic flow, and promote the body’s natural healing response. Cupping can help relieve tight muscles, chronic pain, inflammation, stress, and fatigue while encouraging deep relaxation and improved mobility. Temporary circular marks may appear after treatment, reflecting areas of stagnation or restricted circulation, and typically fade within several days.
Hot stone massage is a deeply relaxing therapy that uses smooth, heated stones placed on the body and incorporated into the massage. The warmth of the stones helps soften tight muscles, improve circulation, reduce stress, and encourage deep relaxation. Combined with therapeutic massage techniques, hot stone therapy can ease muscle tension, calm the nervous system, relieve aches and stiffness, and create a soothing full-body experience that promotes balance and overall well-being
Swedish massage is a gentle, relaxing style of massage designed to improve circulation, reduce stress, and promote overall wellness. Using long flowing strokes, kneading, rhythmic tapping, and gentle stretching, this massage helps calm the nervous system while easing muscle tension and improving flexibility. Pressure can range from light to moderate depending on your comfort level. Swedish massage is ideal for relaxation, stress relief, improved circulation, and full-body rejuvenation.
Deep tissue massage focuses on the deeper layers of muscles and connective tissue to release chronic tension, tightness, and pain. Using slower strokes and firm pressure, this technique targets areas of restriction, muscle adhesions, and stubborn knots. Deep tissue massage can help improve mobility, reduce inflammation, support recovery from injuries, and relieve chronic pain patterns. Pressure is customized from moderate to deep based on each client’s needs and comfort.
Myofascial release is a gentle to firm hands-on therapy that focuses on releasing tension and restrictions within the fascia, the connective tissue that surrounds and supports the muscles and body structures. Using slow, sustained pressure and stretching techniques, this therapy helps improve mobility, reduce pain, restore balance, and increase flexibility throughout the body. Myofascial release can be especially beneficial for chronic pain, postural imbalances, tension patterns, injury recovery, and areas of tightness that limit movement or create discomfort.
Reflexology is a therapeutic practice that applies pressure to specific points on the feet, hands, and ears that correspond to different organs and systems within the body. This relaxing therapy is designed to support the body’s natural healing processes, improve circulation, reduce stress, and encourage overall balance and well-being. Reflexology may help relieve tension, fatigue, headaches, digestive discomfort, and stress while promoting deep relaxation and restoring harmony throughout the body.
